A Whirlwind Creative Journey

 

I have been an artist since I could reasonably clutch a crayon at the age of two.​ I had difficulty reading, was very shy and moved a lot as a kid so I escaped into my imagination with a pencil and paper.

Practice Begets Confidence

I eventually attended the Art Institute of Seattle (RIP) and that led to an amazing 35 year career as a Creative Director working with some of the largest and most recognizable brands in the world. I've basically done everything there is to do in commercial creativity. Metaphorically, I've plumbed the Mariana Trench and summited Mt. Everest.

All of that hard work gave me the opportunity to retire early and now, to pursue what I truly love, making art.

Pretty much everything I paint is inspired by nature whether literally or in an abstract form.
